On Friday, Acting Supreme Court Justice Joseph Farneti signed a stipulation of settlement between Justin Timberlake and the Sag Harbor Village Police Department, Sag Harbor Police Chief Robert Drake, and the Village of Sag Harbor. The video was released by Sag Harbor village Police in response to a Freedom of Information Law request. A restraining order preventing the release of the bodycam video was lifted, allowing for the release with redactions. The petition by Timberlake's attorneys, Edward J. Burke Jr. and Michael del Piano, stated that public dissemination of the footage would cause severe harm to the singer's personal and professional reputation, and serve no legitimate public interest in understanding government operations. The footage was recorded on June 18, 2024 and shows the initial stop, questioning, administration of standardized field sobriety tests, and subsequent arrest.
