Kim Mulkey, the longtime coach of LSU women's basketball team, has refuted rumors of her retirement following a disappointing 87-85 loss to No. 3 seed Duke in March Madness. Despite the loss, Mulkey insists she is not retiring and plans to continue working until she can't produce a competitive product or health issues. The Tigers had a successful 29-6 season under Mulkey and reached as high as No. 5 in the AP polls under her, making the NCAA Tournament for 23 straight seasons and winning a national championship in 2023. She is also the only person in the women's game to win a national title as a player and an assistant coach.
