A Nebraska middle school science teacher, Matthew Lund, has been arrested on charges of possession and distribution of child pornography. Lund allegedly used AI to produce hundreds of images of young children being abused, which he then viewed while working. The images were found after a tip from Google. Lund admitted to generating the child sexual assault material of prepubescent children and masturbating to them while at work. The creation of AI-generated child pornography is now a class 1D felony for adults, with a maximum sentence of 50 years.
