A 286-year-old violin worth over $200,000 was allegedly stolen from a bar while its owner was dining. The violin was on loan from violinist David Ibanez and was used during his performances with the London Philharmonia Orchestra. The instrument was made in 1790 and its value is largely due to its age. In 2026, 46-year old Ahmed Sami Madour was arrested on suspicion of the theft.
