Strong to severe storms are possible for portions of the Central Valley, with gusts, and heavy rainfall expected between noon and evening. The National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center has placed Fresno, Madera and Merced Counties at a marginal risk for isolated severe storms. High elevations, including Yosemite National Park and China Peak Ski Resort, are also receiving fresh snow due to the storm.
