Leander ISD in Texas is projecting a budget shortfall for the 2026–27 school year, potentially ranging from $6.8 million to $13.7 million depending on the board's decision to loosen a key budget constraint. Additionally, the possibility of a voter-approved tax rate election could generate about $5.5 million per year.
