Beloved High School Senior Shot and Killed While Waiting for a Ride Wasn't Intended Target, Police Say

High school senior Camden Siegal, 17, was shot and killed outside of the PeoplesBank Arena in Hartford, Conn., on Feb. 22. Police say he was not the intended target and was waiting for a ride home when the shooting occurred. Siegal was transported to a local hospital in "extremely critical condition," while a male in his 20s also came to the hospital via private vehicle and is expected to make a full recovery. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing and no suspects have been identified. In Siegal's obituary, he was described as a "proud honor roll student" who excelled in school and in sports" and made a "tremendous impact" on his friends and family.
