Warm weather brings visitors, boost in business to Columbia River Gorge

The recent warm and windy weather in the Columbia River Gorge has led to a significant increase in visitors to the area and a boost in local businesses. The consistent 15-20 mile per hour winds in the Gorge make it an especially appealing location for water sports fans. Adam Vance, the Race Director for Seattle Wingfoil Racing, is partnering with the Gorge for events this summer. Eddy Patricelli, co-owner of Big Winds, a sporting goods store in Hood River, said the warm weather is helping to bring more people into local businesses during the spring and summer months.
