A three-legged cat named Salem, known for his antics around Daventry, Northamptonshire, has died after being hit by a car, according to his owner, Erin Hills. The cat, who had previously had his leg amputated after breaking it in several places, became a local celebrity due to his social media following. Since his death, Discover Daventry has raised over £2,000 to fund a permanent statue of Salem in the town.
