Wolverhampton Wanderers are 11 points behind Nottingham Forest in the Premier League, with eight games remaining, following a 2-1 victory over Liverpool. Despite this, Wolves' recent surge in form has raised concerns about their chances of avoiding relegation. They are the first bottom-placed team to beat two top-five teams in a single season since West Bromwich Albion in 2017-18, and the first to do so in consecutive matches. Despite their recent victories, Wolves have only won two of their first 20 games of the season. They will need to double their current haul of 16 points to stand any chance.
