North Dakota State is set to play in the quarterfinals of the Summit League tournament, with the team's experience and close victories attributed to their older players. Senior players Tay Smith and Markhi Strickland are both 24 years old and Feddersen and Damari Wheeler-Thomas are both in their fourth years. NDSU doubled its senior class from graduate transfers Smith and Strickmand with Wheeler-Thompson and Henderson. Head coach Dave Richman credits his team's maturity to winning games late when they're close. The Bison also set a record for most wins in a regular season in the modern era of 24, surpassing the 23 of the 2008-09 and 2013-14 teams.
