The Chicago Bulls have fired their top two basketball executives, Arturas Karnisovas and Marc Eversley, following a six-year run that produced only one playoff appearance. Bulls CEO Michael Reinsdorf has stated that he wants coach Billy Donovan to remain in his position, regardless of the team's performance. Reinsforf stated that candidates can't bring in their own coach if Donovan chooses to return after this season. Donovan, who has a 467-411 record in 11 seasons as an NBA head coach, could seek another NBA coaching job or return to the college game. The Bulls could give Donovan a bigger say in basketball operations while continuing as coach.
