NASA is not ready to announce the next Boeing Starliner flight to the International Space Station due to technical issues discovered during its Crew Flight Test mission in 2024. The agency is working through these issues to determine the earliest feasible launch window. The last mission was cancelled due to helium leaks and thruster failures, and the crew remained on board the space station for 10 months. In February, NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman criticized the agency's handling of the mission, stating that Starliner had “qualification deficiencies” and was less reliable for crew survival than other vehicles. With the spacecraft grounded until its problems are resolved, NASA redid Boeing’s contract to fly three crew rotation missions to the station.
