Office of Hawaiian Affairs seeks new CEO amid whistleblower lawsuit

The Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA) is seeking a new CEO amid a legal dispute with current CEO, Stacy Kealohalani Ferreira, who filed a lawsuit against the agency in 2025 claiming whistleblower and sunshine law violations. The agency has announced a nationwide search for new CEO, urging accomplished leaders with a commitment to public service, stewardship and Native Hawaiian advancement. The position will serve as its administrative officer and chief executive, reporting directly to OHA’s Board of Trustees and overseeing the office’�s programs, investments, advocacy efforts and trust assets. The CEO position will remain open until filled.
