Blanche, Bondi hold closed-door meeting with lawmakers on Epstein files

Attorney General Pam Bondi and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche held a closed-door meeting with lawmakers on the House Oversight Committee over files linked to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The meeting, which was criticized by Democrats as Bondi is facing a subpoena from the committee, was structured like a hearing except for not being under oath and not transcribed. The Oversight Committee had voted to subpoena Bondi earlier in March, following a motion from Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C). Bondi attended the meeting to answer questions about the Epstein files. Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer accused his Democratic colleagues of "clutching their pearls" and not answering any questions.
