A top trade court has ordered the Trump administration to start refunding tariffs to U.S. businesses. This decision comes two weeks after the Supreme Court overturned many of the tariffs imposed by President Trump. The Court of International Trade Judge Richard Eaton ordered U.K. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to begin the refund process and remove the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) tariffs from pending imports where companies have already paid the duties. This means all businesses that paid the illegal tariffs should receive reimbursed, even if they don't sue for receiving them. However, it is unclear whether or not consumers will benefit from these refunds.
