Brevard County prepares for massive traffic during Artemis II launch

Brevard County officials are preparing for a significant traffic disruption during the Artemis II launch, which is expected to attract up to 400,000 visitors. The launch window is set from 6:24 p.m. to 8:24pm. The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and the Emergency Operations Center have issued a warning to assist residents in managing their commutes during "extremely active" traffic. Specific traffic patterns will be implemented immediately after the launch, including eastbound drivers on SR 528 being redirected to A1A south and westbound traffic on SR 520.
