Amazon is expanding access to its health care virtual assistant, Health AI, to most customers on the Amazon app and website. The feature, which was previously available to One Medical members, will be available to all US Amazon customers. Health AI can answer general health care questions and provide wellness guidance based on health history, medications, and health conditions. Other functions include filling prescription refills through Amazon Pharmacy and connecting with One Medical doctors via video, in-person appointments or messages. Amazon's virtual assistant is HIPAA-compliant and intended only for medical support, not to replace a health care provider.
