Four recalls in one week are triggering urgent warnings — here’s what’s affected

Four major recalls were issued across the country between April 27 and May 3, with Mitsubishi recalling over 108,000 vehicles and 8.2 million food and product products. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration warned that the gas spring cylinders could lose pressure and rupture, increasing the risk of an injury. French Broad Chocolates PBC is recalling chocolate bonbons sold in 41 states due to an allergen issue, posing a risk of “serious or life-threatening allergic reactions” to people allergic to walnuts. Thermos is recalling 8.3 million Stainless King food jars and bottles due to a serious safety hazard that could injure consumers. The company has received 27 reports of consumers being struck by a stopper that forcefully ejects from these containers upon opening.
