Flight taking off from Denver strikes pedestrian on the runway

A flight from Denver International Airport struck a pedestrian on the runway during takeoff, according to Frontier Airlines and the airport. The incident occurred at around 11:19 p.m. on Friday, followed by an engine fire that was extinguished. The plane was carrying 224 passengers and seven crew members, who were evacuated via slides after smoke filled the cabin. Neither the passenger nor the passenger were identified as the pedestrian. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.
