California-based plus-size retailer, Torrid, has been closing stores deemed "structurally unproductive" as part of a restructuring effort. The company, which caters to women in sizes 10-30, entered 2026 with 483 locations across North America. Despite a 14.3 percent decline in net sales, CEO Lisa Harper remains optimistic about a turnaround.
