Richmond Common House drops name amid management shakeup

The owners of the Arts District social club, Common House, have announced that they are transitioning management and will no longer operate under the Common House brand after May 19. This change comes after the Charlottesville location unexpectedly closed due to a landlord-tenant dispute. The Ukrop family and New York-based private investment firm, Mercer Street Partners, own the building and have been operating the club under their brand since its inception. They are taking over management from Common House and are partnering with Kentucky-based Schulte Hospitality Group to manage the reopened social club. The new name will be announced soon.
