13-year-old Richard Alexander Medina was hit while riding his bike on April 10 near Lefferson Park in Middletown, Ohio. His mother, Elsie Thomas, said her son was intubated and had multiple brain bleeds and fractures to his jaw when she arrived at the hospital. The driver, Thomas Harris, was arrested and charged with aggravated vehicular assault, OVI (second within 10 years), and fleeing the scene. Medina was released from Cincinnati Children's Hospital and welcomed home by family members at Stratford Heights Church of God. The next step for the teen will be physical and speech therapy.
