Despite recent storms and rain, temperatures across Central Florida have surged, reaching near-record highs. Both Daytona Beach and Sanford both tied their daily high-temperature records on Sunday. The record-breaking high was set at 89°F, matching the previous record set in 2016. Meanwhile, Orlando and Leesburg also exceeded their records.
