Pro-government protesters took to the streets of Havana to protest against the ongoing oil blockade and a maximum pressure campaign by the Trump administration. The demonstrators rode bicycles and waved Cuban flags to express their frustration over Cuba's economic and humanitarian crisis. Since January, Cuba has not received any oil imports due to an executive order by President Donald Trump threatening tariffs on nations that provided oil to Cuba. The Cuban government has implemented strict gasoline rationing and limits on airplane refueling, leading to streets across the island nation to empty. The march came days after a Russian tanker arrived at a Cuban port carrying 730,000 barrels of oil, marking the first time oil had arrived in the island in three months.
