President Trump's Iran war messaging has been inconsistent ten days after the U.S. and Israel struck Iran, with some suggesting the war's end or escalation. The administration claims its goals are clear, but Trump's messaging is more fluid. Only 33% of respondents said he clearly explained the mission's purpose to Reuters-Ipsos, while 92% of Democrats and 74% said he hasn't. Furthermore, the administration denied regime change is the goal. Despite initially stating the attacks would last around four weeks, they were moving ahead of schedule and could take up to six weeks. Despite this, Trump has suggested that he would personally help pick Iran's next leader, calling Mojtaba Khamenei unacceptable.
