Possible former Fabens ISD employee arrested after traffic stop leads to meth discovery

A routine traffic stop in East El Paso led to the arrest of 48-year-old Adrian Esparza, a possible former Fabens ISD employee, after deputies discovered suspected methamphetamine in his possession. Esparz was pulled over for traveling 69 mph in a posted 55 mph zone and claimed he did not have a driver’s license or Texas ID and lost his wallet. He also claimed that he was not the registered owner of the vehicle and it belonged to a friend who gave him permission to drive it. The case has been submitted for prosecution and formal charges are pending.
