Chicago-based PharmaCann Inc., the country's largest privately-held cannabis company, is closing its Denver grow facility, which will permanently eliminate 132 jobs. The facility is one of the largest in the state and highlights the financial squeeze facing the cannabis industry in Colorado. The company entered the state in 2022 when it acquired LivWell Enlightened Health and The Clinic. However, it appears that PharmaCANN has been paying the price for its purchase, due to a settlement reached with its largest landlord. Viereo Growth also signed a management services agreement to run the retail locations until the retail deal closes.
