Ohio company recalls hundreds of lots of alcohol pads

Ohio company, Cardinal Health, has recalled hundreds of lots of Webcol Large Alcohol Prep Pads due to microbial contamination. The contaminated pads could cause local and systemic infections in at-risk populations, including patients receiving chemotherapy or those with poorly controlled diabetes, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The pads, which are 70% isopropyl alcohol, were distributed in the United States, Puerto Rico, and Japan. The recall affects over 300 lots.
