An upper trough continues to hover over the eastern part of the state, leading to strong trade winds across the area and low accumulations of low clouds and showers across windward areas. Some guidance suggests a potential increase in thunderstorm potential over the Big Island, particularly along the southern slopes. However, any storms that form will likely be "dry" with little to no rainfall.
