The New York Giants have made an aggressive trade for Notre Dame wide receiver Malachi Fields, securing a weapon for Jaxson Dart. The team traded this year's fourth and fifth-round picks, plus a 2027 fourth-round pick, to the Cleveland Browns for the 2026 NFL Draft. Fields, a 6-4, 218-pound Virginia transfer, caught five touchdowns in each of his final three college seasons and averaged 15.0 yards per catch on the dot. The trade was motivated by the Houston Texans' second round win over New York to pick Ohio State defensive tackle Kayden McDonald. The Giants did not have a third-round selection in this weekend's draft due to a previous trade.
