Patriots have ‘no concerns’ over draft pick’s injury history

The New England Patriots have no concerns over the selection of Notre Dame tight end Eli Raridon in the 2026 NFL Draft, despite a significant injury history. Raridon tore his right ACL during high school basketball and re-tore it as a freshman at Notre Dame. The Patriots' trainers and team doctor gave him the all-clear during a pre-draft visit. Despite doubts about his selection, the Patriots chose to stay put despite a run on tight ends on Day 2 of the draft. The team also traded up to take Utah offensive tackle Caleb Lomu in the first round and Illinois edge defender Gabe Jacas in the second.
