Canada's Loblaw misses first-quarter revenue estimates

Canadian retailer Loblaw (L.A. has missed its first-quarter revenue estimates of $14.48 billion ($10.65 billion), largely due to a slowdown in demand and increased macroeconomic uncertainty. The company reported a revenue shortfall of $11.6 billion, compared to analysts' average of $15.9 billion.
