Rep. Veasey asks Rangers to remove statue

U.S. Rep. Mark Veasey, a Democrat, has asked the Texas Rangers, the baseball team, to remove a statue of a Texas Ranger from their stadium. The statue, which was recently installed, will be removed from the stadium in 2020 after widespread backlash. The team's decision to remove the statue will be reviewed by the Department of Public Affairs.
