Retired Air Force Maj. Gen. William Neil McCasland, a high-ranking retired major general who once commanded a base associated with UFO lore, has been missing for nearly two weeks. The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office in New Mexico issued a Silver Alert the following day, which remains in effect. The sheriff's office has conducted extensive neighborhood canvassing, interviews, and coordinated search operations to find him. McCaslands, who retired nearly 13 years ago, held some of the most sensitive positions in the US military and commanded the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. His disappearance came just days after President Donald Trump announced he was directing federal agencies to release government records related to extraterrestrial life and UFOs.
