The AI-powered note-taking app Granola, which uses AI to generate a list of meeting notes and transcripts, has defaulted its notes to anyone with a link, making them viewable to anyone without a valid link. The app also uses these notes for internal AI training, unless you opt out. This could pose a major issue if you accidentally share a link or leak sensitive information about sensitive meetings. The company's security page states that its notes are stored in a US-hosted Amazon Web Services private cloud and are encrypted at rest and in transit. However, it is unclear whether anyone with an existing Granola account can access these transcripts or if it's just people sharing workspace with the company. If you delete your note, people with the link will no longer be able to access it. Granola did not comment on this issue.
