Temperatures climb but rain coverage remains isolated this week

The weather will be mostly cloudy and breezy, with temperatures reaching near 70 degrees and high winds could gust up to 30 mph throughout the day. However, this is not expected to be widespread and dangerous for beach and boat safety due to strong easterly to northeasterly winds. An area of high pressure will move offshore early this week and temperatures will rise to the upper 70s on Monday and low 80s on Tuesday. Despite this, there is a high chance of isolated showers and storms each day due to the sea breeze. The latest drought monitor indicates that most of the Jacksonville area remains in an extreme drought.
