Whitehall recall election set for May 28

The City of Whitehall will hold a special election on May 28 to determine whether the mayor and two city council members should be removed from office. The election was originally scheduled for May 26, but some council members wanted more time after Memorial Day. A lawsuit by former Whitehall Councilmember and former city attorney, Michael Shannon, argues that the charter states a higher threshold for a recall than the certified recall petitions.
