USA stifles Dominican Republic's offense to makes WBC final

Team USA defeated the Dominican Republic 2-1 in a World Baseball Classic semifinal in Miami. The game was marked by tense moments when United States closer Mason Miller's full count slider was called a strike by home-plate umpire Cory Blaser. The Dominican Republic's shortstop, Geraldo Perdomo, was ruled out, leading Team USA to advance to the finals against the winner between Italy and Venezuela. Both teams' rosters featured 25 players ranked within ESPN's Top 100. The match featured home runs, spectacular plays and shutdown pitching.
