Kevin McGonigle, Detroit Tigers' No. 1 prospect and MLB's No. 2 overall prospect, is showing he is well-received by the team and its clubhouse, which features several former top prospects. Despite a slow start to Spring Training and dealing with the barrage of breaking balls and offspeed pitches he has faced from opposing pitchers, McGonogle has become more comfortable in the Tigers' clubhouse. The 21-year-old infielder has been praised for his defense and ability to adapt to the challenges of opposing pitchers. Manager A.J. Hinch acknowledged the importance of game planning and discipline for a prospect for a non-roster invite, particularly in the final days of Spring Training.
