Washington man arrested on suspicion of shooting six people after Super Bowl

Tyrone Asphy, a 46-year-old resident of Federal Way, Washington, was arrested in his home state on suspicion of shooting six people downtown San Jose after the Super Bowl. The San Jose Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at Santa Clara Street and Market Street after the big game on February 8. The suspect used a firearm to shoot six people, all adults, causing non-life threatening injuries. The investigation led to Asphy being identified as the suspect and obtaining arrest and search warrants. He was later arrested on charges of attempted murder a month after the alleged crime.
