The Colorado Springs City Council has rejected a plan to build apartments next to The Classical Academy's Central Campus, following a yearlong battle over the proposal. Parents argued that the project would increase traffic during school drop-off and pick-up times and create additional safety concerns. They are now focusing on preserving the property as a green space and eventually purchasing the land to create a community park.
