Carl Rushworth: Championship leaders tried to buy Brighton loanee

Coventry City owner, Doug King, has revealed that the club tried to buy on-loan goalkeeper Carl Rushworth from Brighton, but a deal could not be agreed with Brighton. Rushworth, who has kept 13 clean sheets for Coventry, has helped the Sky Blues surge eight points clear at the top of the Championship and put them in pole position to win the title and Premier League promotion with nine games remaining. King did not specify whether the club would try again to sign Rushworth.
