NFL Teams Set Record with Billions in Contract Spending Since Start of 2026 Free Agency

The first four days of NFL free agency have seen a record $5.83 billion in player contracts, with $2.59 billion in guaranteed money. The total cost of these contracts is $19.6 billion. The league's 32 teams have handed out more than half of their contracts since the start of the legal tampering period.
