A survey conducted by news.com.au has revealed that a survey of over 53,000 Australians has found that men and women are significantly different in their desire for more sex. The survey also revealed that men were 14% more likely to want more sex, while women were twice more likely than to prefer less. Age, however, was the highest dissatisfaction level at 61% for 40-to-49 year olds. The study suggests that most couples avoid discussing sex, with social constructs, religion, and societal issues contributing to this avoidance. The author, Lauren Muratore, suggests that couples should spend two hours a week together for sex, creating a safe environment where two people feel safe and comfortable.
