Man, 45, sentenced to 40 years in prison for sex assault, child abuse

A 45-year-old man from the Big Island has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for child sex crimes. The crimes were committed between February and May 2025. The defendant must also register as a sex offender. The prosecutor's office has praised the efforts of those involved in the case.
