Royal Caribbean has reportedly cancelled over 20 cruises scheduled for summer 2027, including those on the 3,926-guest ship Freedom of the Seas. The cancellations were informed to passengers via an email this week. The cruise line attributes these changes to the company's ongoing itinerary planning process. All affected sailings were aboard the cruise ship. Royal Caribbean is offering guests a few options to make up for the situation, including moving them to the Wonder of the seas or sailing on the Adventure or the Jewel of the Sea. Passengers unable to find a new itinerary that works for them will reportedly receive a full refund of their cruise fare. This comes after Carnival Cruise Line also cancelled 11 sailings on its ship in fall of 2026.
