This comes as current Democratic Gov. Abigail Spanberger has urged a "yes" vote, arguing the referendum is necessary to counter President Donald Trump's efforts to redraw congressional maps in favor of Republicans. However, Republican Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) dismissed this argument as "hogwash".
