Temperatures are expected to reach record highs on Sunday and Monday, largely due to high pressure over the northeastern Pacific and offshore wind flow preventing cooler air from flowing in from the Pacific. The record high for Sunday is 77° set in 1992. For the Windermere Cup at Seattle’s Montlake Cut, conditions should be ideal for the rowing regatta. The average date for an 80° day in Seattle is May 20, making it almost three weeks ahead of schedule.
