Mets’ Bo Bichette hitting better than woeful numbers suggest

Mets infielder Bo Bichette's numbers are struggling, with a disappointing.570 OPS and a batting average of only.283, placing him in MLB's 83rd percentile. His hard-hit balls in Friday's victory over the Diamondbacks and Saturday's 2-1 loss were both recorded as high as expected. Manager Carlos Mendoza stated that he is not worried about Bicochette's performance but believes he is too good a hitter to be worried about his performance. Luis Torrens had a sore jaw but is expected to return for Sunday's series finale.
